For this outdoor walk up bar 1 block off the beach we made 12 custom mahogany planter boxes varying in size to match their mahogany themed place. Stained with some of the toughest outdoor stain you can get was a must for this salty air venue.
We were very excited for this project. A private members only club in Alexandria, VA reached out and didnt want the same old boring tables almost everyone else has. We created 12 beautiful, completely custom black walnut tables. 9 with heavy duty folding leaves allowing them to form a circle or square. We beefed these tables up, recessed all hardwear and made these to last. The other 3 pictured were using hand picked black walnut slabs from the same tree as the other tables. These booth tables are filled with black epoxy resin, reclaimed colonial beams and black walnut bases with low profile adjustable legs which were a necessity for the brick laid flooring, and coated them with rubio monocoat 12c pure for a long lasting food grade finish.
DMV American Millwork isnt just limited to wood. For this project we made 100 yards of planter boxes for a beach front hotel complete with a timed irrigation system, wired for speakers, and wifi extenders and we did it out of wood for the structure and Trex decking for the outside faces. Trex decking offers superior weather protection especially in shore based enviroments.
Using oak and a green decor matching epoxy river we were able to make an off bar seating table for a movie theater that also has live entertainment, drinks, bowling alley, and arcade. We also had fabricated a custom iron base to support this 16 foot monster. Bow ties were added along a natural crack in the wood to give it a repaired look.
For this gym we constructed 2 desks out of owner provided drift wood slabs. We cut them to size and shape, dried them, then sanded to 120 grit and applied rubio monocoat 12c pure for a long lasting protective oil finish.
Here we tore out the old wood crash decks and installed new ones with added logo and we did a glue up and cut to a circle a table for a boxing gym break room. We painted it blue. laid over vinyl decals and did an clear epoxy flood coat.
We dont just make bars, we service broken and old weathered bars that have surccumbed to high traffic and or poor maintenance. For this bar we stripped the surface down, sanded appropriately, stained, coated with epoxy, and lastly added a protective finish. Faced the bar using stone paneling which all resulted in a beautiful build and mirror finish.
